Northwest Yeshiva High School is the only full-time Jewish high school in the Pacific Northwest. Founded in 1974, it offers a dual curriculum of Judaic studies and college preparatory General Studies. Students come from all segments of the Jewish community and represent a broad range of religious observance and orientation.
Northwest Yeshiva High School emphasizes college preparatory education and individual learning plans to challenge each student. A wide range of individualized instruction is available, including ESL, honors and advanced placement, and Quick Start, a program for students with limited Judaica backgrounds.
In addition to training students to undertake serious study at major colleges and universities, NYHS graduates are fully prepared to continue their Jewish education at advanced religious institutions both in the United States and Israel.
Through the tuition reduction program made possible by a grant from the Samis Foundation and community support, the Yeshiva has reduced annual tuition to $3,500 per student. Other Jewish communities and agencies nationwide are studying the success of this pioneering program. No qualified student is turned away due to an inability to pay tuition.
